The Global Roaming account provides easy International access to the Internet from more than 37,000 dial-up points of presence (POPs) and 14,000 Wi-Fi Hot-Spots in 150 countries around the world.
This service is possible by using a redundant network of top-tier network access providers throughout the world, and through our unique Global Roaming Mobile Assistant, powered by and provided through our partnership with GlobalRoaming.com. With the Global Roaming account and it's Mobile Assistant, individual and corporate users can access e-mail, the web and corporate data from anywhere in the world with a local telephone call, toll-free call, Wi-Fi or Broadband access, with a significant cost savings over solutions requiring long-distance connection charges.

7. Are Airports and Hotels mostly covered ? - Back to top
Wireless or wired broadband access points cover all major airports and hotels. Of course dial up connections will always allow you to connect from any hotel. The number of wireless access points tends to increase and is updated every week.
8. Can I use my current E-Mail account and program anywhere ? - Back to top
Yes, and this is may be the best reason why you should use our services. With our Global Roaming Mobile Assistant, no need to use a web mail. Just check and send your emails as if you were at home or at the office.
9. Why should a Corporate choose us ? - Back to top
If you plan to open more than 2 accounts, we strongly recommend opening a Corporate Account. Apart from our services and a secure access to your internal server, you will have the possibility to manage each Sub-Account from your Master Account, create new Sub-Accounts, change passwords and check the usage for each individual sub-account.

BILLING FAQ
1. What are the start-up costs and do I have to pay monthly fees ? Back to top
There are NO set-up fees to open a Global Roaming account. There is no time limitation on any accounts, no monthly charges, and no annual charges, so you can keep it as long as you want, even for years. NO USAGE = NO BILLING. You can activate the services individually depending on your needs and just when you need them.
2. Where can I find your rates? How do I read the table ? - Back to top
Our rates can be found in Access Points . Just select the country you are interested in for more information and services rates. Each color corresponds to 1 of our 5 roaming zones. See also our grid of tariffs under the country table at the bottom of our "access points" page.
3. What is the Startup Balance ? - Back to top
It is the amount fixed by you at signup that will be deposited into your Global Roaming account and counted against the use of the services made by you.
When the account balance falls below 25.00 USD, it will be automatically topped up to the initial startup balance by debit of your credit card.
4. How do you bill for services ? - Back to top
Dialup: Billing is per second of use, with no rounding-up. The rates are set per country, see Access Points
Wi-Fi and broadband: one price for all countries, billing per second.
Other services are billed accordingly to our grid of prices.
Billing as you go provides the most suitable solution for the frequent or occasional traveler.
5. Can I cancel at any time? What is the "Sleeping Mode" Warranty ? - Back to top
If for any reason you require the cancellation of your account, it will be cancelled. We will not charge any fees for canceling your account.
Basically, there is no need to "cancel" your account with the "Sleeping Mode" Warranty. This warranty ensures that your account cannot be billed or used for as long as you require, but your account is still available at any time, anywhere. In case of emergency, just use the "instant reactivation" feature by phone or on-line.
6. Do I have to pay for the phone calls ? - Back to top
Toll Free numbers where available: our rates include the phone call charges. You will surely appreciate this option when staying in a hotel or a friend's house.
Local Numbers: dialup connections, you will be charged for the local calls by your local phone company. We do not bill those phones calls (cost of local call varies from one country to another).
7. Will I receive an Invoice for my monthly usage? - Back to top
The service charges for roaming will be itemized in your monthly billing, easily accessible on-line using our sophisticated control panel which includes invoices, payment, current and past balances as well as an overall summary of your account.
The minimum invoicing for your monthly usage is 5.00 USD.
If you don't use the service no billing will be issued for that month and no minimum or additional charges will be applied.

1. What operative systems and type of devices are supported ? - Back to top
Our software supports Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME, XP.
Under request we provide a software that supports Mac OS 9.1 to OS X platforms, PDA - Palm's platforms Windows CE, Palm 3.1, 3.5, 4.0, handheld PC, Pocket PC devices.
We also provide manual dialup information in your member area so you can connect with any kind of Internet enabled devices.

Depending on your location and availability you can choose between one of those different options in your Dialer software: Dial-up (modem, ISDN), broadband (cable�) or Wi-Fi.
Any type of hardware/device with Internet capabilities is supported.
3. Where can I find your list of local access points ? - Back to top
Local Access points are available and automatically updated from our software.
You can also find them in our Members area.
4. Can I send and receive Email from Outlook or any other Mail program ? - Back to top
Yes, you will be able to use your current emails from Outlook or your current email programs, with Global Roaming Mobile Assistant no need to use a Web-Mail or public free emails. Further instruction will be given after the Signup
5. Do you provide Global SMTP server ? - Back to top
Yes, with Global Roaming Mobile Assistant, we provide a global SMTP that will allow you to send email from all over the world.
6. How do I find the correct number or Wi-Fi hotspot when I'm traveling ? - Back to top
We provide you our software to be installed on your laptop PC, Mac or PDA. This connection tool provides a simple point-and-click interface that allows you to select the country and city where you are. You will then get a list of the available local access points. Just click on the location of your choice and you will be connected in second.
7. Can I use my mobile phone ? - Back to top
Yes, you can easily use your mobile phone to connect using our service. The provided application will allow you to use your mobile phone as a modem in a click (if your mobile phone support internet connection, please refer to your documentation). You can also connect with some mobile phones (again see your phone's documentation) without the need of any other device.
8. Can I use the GlobalRoaming service for secure access (VPN) to my corporate network ? - Back to top
Yes, our software is prepared to accept the VPN client and all access points are VPN ready. When used in conjunction with a virtual private network (VPN) solution, authorized Cisco services, etc, you can gain secure access to your corporate network. The service is interoperable with all industry leading VPN, firewall and token card solutions. We can also provide you with the best VPN solution in partnership with Cisco Systems. >

10. Do I need special power plugs or phone jacks when traveling abroad ? - Back to top
In some countries you will require different power cords, plugs and phone jacks. All information is provided in the Member area and our support team will always be ready to help you.

We strongly recommend that you establish your first connection at your current location so you can check your setups. If you have any question you will appreciate to be able to count on our technical support before leaving.
